Lowing is the next Hindi film co-written by Mani Ratnam. However film began as planned in August 2009. The film finished shooting and went to the official manufacture in October 2009.Manikandan has been hired as director of photography film or DOP. But he was replaced in early 2009 by Santosh Sivan.
Next was shot in different parts of India, counting forests of Karnataka (Tumkur) Kerala (Athirappilly Falls), Ooty, Jhansi, Kolkata, and Malshej Mahabaleshwar Ghats in Maharashtra.
The first official start of the film was made on June 14, which was followed by the film crew. AR Rahman's mother and other family members that the film as they act surprised skills Abhi and Ash. He has followed the world premiere took position June 16 in London.
